11 years ago when I started blogging, I had to constantly tell people what a blog was. 4093 posts later, things have changed quite a bit. A lot of the reasons I blog have shifted over to Social Media platforms: connecting with people in our church, sharing what I am reading / learning, etc. The other main purpose, writing articles, has shifted over to RivChurch.com. Because I am so spread out across the web, I've decided the best use of NoelJesse.com is to point people to those other places. Therefore, over the next week or so I am going to convert my site into a portal to all of the other places people can find me online. I will keep the content I have posted here as an archive (kinda like the wayback Noel machine) but generate most of my content elsewhere.
This summer, I had the opportunity to teach on racism in response to some questions people at Riv asked. I figured MLK Day would be a good day to post a clip from that message about what the Gospel has to say about racism. If you would like to watch the entire message, you can do so on the Riv site or app.
"The movement upward [toward God] cannot be separated from the movement toward our neighbor. Both belong indissolubly together...Standing under God's rule means living in community with God and with the church." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer
